New England Patriot Jonathan Jones, rose from the undrafted ranks to become two-time Super Bowl champion, businessman and philanthropist.

Born September 20, 1993, Jones found his love for sports as a 4 year old little leaguer growing up in Carrollton, Georgia. Attending Carrollton High School, Jones would become a standout two-sport athlete in both football and track & field. Winning three individual state titles in 110-meter hurdles and long jump, Jones became the recipient of the Georgia Gatorade Track Athlete of the Year before going on to win the USA Track and Field Junior Olympics National Championship in the 110-meter hurdles.

From track star to the football field, Jones was a dual threat running back and cornerback, leading his team to a Georgia state championship in his junior year. Not only a star athlete, Jones was a star off the field maintaining a 3.8 GPA while serving as an avid volunteer at the local soup kitchen and youth track clubs. ​


Earning a scholarship to play football at Auburn University where he was a four-year starting cornerback, Jones received second-team All-SEC two years in a row. Named the recipient of the Zeke Smith Award as the Defensive Player of the Year in 2014, Jones

would later graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

In 2016, he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New England Patriots. Jones earned his spot on the 53-man roster. Leading the Patriots in tackles in Super Bowl LIII, Jones would become a two-time Super Bowl champion (SB LI and LIII) while appearing in three straight.

In 2019, Jones exemplified his passion for community with the launch of Jonathan Jones Next Step Foundation, with a mission to educate the youth on practical life application, to encourage professional development and to empower the youth through education and mentorship. His dedication to sport, school and community from a young age epitomize the dynamic leader Jones is in all aspects of his life.
